Christopher Lewis, “Chris” of Southborough, passed away August 28, 2012 after a courageous battle with ALS.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan (Sandvik); his son; Christopher “Chip” Lewis and his wife, Tarajean, of Reading; his son, Keith J. Lewis and his wife, Sarah, of Boylston; his sister, Nancy Hennessy of Kitty Hawk, NC; his brother, Mark Lewis and his wife, Helen, of New Salem, MA; his sister, Maureen King and her husband, Douglas of Kitty Hawk, NC. He also leaves his grandchildren; Daniel, Matthew, Luke, and Olivia Lewis; nieces, nephews, many, many friends and colleagues, and his best friend, Timothy Lawson, of Natick.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Mary and Clifford Lewis, Chris lived in Elmont, New York before moving to Framingham in 1959. After graduating from Framingham North High School in 1966, he entered the U.S. Navy, and served in the Submarine Branch for 4 years. Following service in the Navy, he attended Northeastern University, as well as beginning his career in the workforce. Chris was the President and CEO of Dynawave, Incorporated, which he co-founded in 1985. His “Perseverance” over the past 27 years has made Dynawave a successful designer and manufacturer of microwave connectors and cable assemblies. Chris had a passion for boating, and his boat was appropriately named Perseverance.

He was so proud of his sons, both accomplished musicians in addition to their careers. He always enjoyed going to various venues to watch and hear them perform. His four grandchildren meant the world to him. His legacy of love for his family, friends, good times, and life, as well as his generosity, will be remembered and cherished by all. A few of his notorious sayings were “Maintain the Image”; “Only Worry About the Things You Can Control, Don’t Worry About the Things You Can’t” and, “One and Done”.
