Continuing their tradition of bi-annual care package drives, Southborough resident Lisa Braccio and friends will be hold their fall drive for the troops this weekend at the Senior Center. Braccio, who was recently honored for her work on behalf of the troops, says the need is as great now as ever.

“Our community’s support is humbling each and every Care Package Drive we host, but the need continues to grow with the misconception that most are coming home. There are still huge numbers overseas until the end of 2014,” Braccio wrote in an email. Southborough resident Kerry Kendall is one of those still serving in Afghanistan.

“Most importantly we continue to show those overseas that Southboro has not forgotten them and will continue to show them our love and support until they come home,” Braccio said.

You can help by dropping off donations at the Senior Center (9 Cordaville Road) on Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, or Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. For more information on what to donate, check out this flyer.
