Southborough author and historian to discuss Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation at the Southborough Library – Tuesday, February 12

This is sure to be an interesting discussion for all you history buffs out there.

Southborough’’s own Donna McDaniel will speak about Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation at the Southborough Library on Tuesday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m. What do you really know about the Emancipation Proclamation and that time in our nation 150 years ago? And why does it still matter today?

McDaniel has lived in Southborough for over 40 years, and was the first woman elected to the Board of Selectmen. She authors a bi-weekly column in the Northborough/Southborough Villager.

The talk by Donna McDaniel on Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation is in recognition of Black History Month. It is free and open to the public. No registration required. Call the Library at 508-485-5031 for more information.
