You probably know Southborough has a food pantry, but did you know we also have a pet food pantry? It’s a cause that is being helped along this year by Trottier student Ben Gordon, who is collecting donations as part of his Bar Mitzvah volunteer project. Here’s a letter from Ben with more information on how you can help.

Dear Town of Southborough,

During the 2012-2013 school year, I am helping out with the Pet Food Pantry. Many people who can’t feed themselves usually can’t feed their pets either, so I am volunteering to help. I am collecting the food left at drop boxes, getting the word out, and delivering the food to the pantry from its storage location.

If you would like to donate, there are some drop boxes around the town, at the front entrance to the Library, the police station as well as one at Congregation B’nai Shalom in Westborough. If you need some food for your pet, the Pet Food Pantry is open at the same time as the Food Pantry, and it is located to the left of the pickup window.

Thank You,
Ben Gordon
