Update: (10/7/13 2:25 pm) I neglected to include the School Committee Meeting on Wednesday night.
Just read the warrant. I can’t understand why this special meeting is still scheduled. How much does it cost us to hold one of these? I know there will be all sorts of hand-wringing if a quota can’t be achieved but I, for one, would not be surprised.
In August, Selectman John Rooney commented the financials were much less than he thought for holding the meeting. Meanwhile, postponing the appropriations for the Police and Fire would cost the town additional funds. In addition, citizen petitions forced the town to hold the meeting.
