Police logs (10/25/13-10/28/13) and news: More break-ins and an unrelated foot pursuit

In the latest open thread, readers posted that break-ins occured earlier this month. Since the newly posted Police Log didn’t covered those dates, I followed up with the department.

According to Lt. Sean James, there were four break-ins reported this month.

On October 10, 2013:

  • A forced entry occured at Pleasant Street sometime during the day, with theft of electronic equipment.
  • In the evening, a Richards Road residence was robbed of jewelry. There was no sign of forced entry.

On October, 18, 2013:

  • An Oregon Road home was forcibly entered and jewelry stolen.
  • A Southwick Drive residence was robbed of jewelry. Access was through an open garage.

These burglaries are currently under investigation with potential suspects. Police are working to retrieve property and/or obtain physical evidence.
