Green Technology and Recycling Committee seeks new members

Recently, two members of Southborough’s Green Technology and Recycling Committee moved out of town. Now the committee has put a call out for new members.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a hard core environmentalist. (They won’t make you collect rainwater to bathe in.)

They are looking for people”interested in finding a balance in the use of the Earth’s natural resources while sustaining a reasonable standard living.”

Their mission is:

to serve the town of Southborough by promoting the use of technologies that minimize adverse impact on the earth’s finite resources and the environment.

Chair Carl Guyerl further explains:

The committee serves as an advocate for residents and commercial enterprises within the town pertaining to use of green technology and the importance of recycling.

Additionally, the committee makes recommendations to town government with respect to adopting practices and products that are environmentally friendly, efficient and maximize reuse of limited natural resources.
