If you are considering putting your name on the next town ballot, the filing deadline is a month from today.

Contests are already brewing for Board of Selectmen, School Committee and Library Trustees.

Here are the candidates who have pulled papers for contested seats as of this morning.

(There are only two available seats for each of these positions.)

Board of Selectman, 3 year term:

  • Dan Kolenda (incumbent)
  • Paul Cimino*
  • Lisa Cappello*
  • Al Hamilton

K-8 School Committee:

  • Paul Desmond (incumbent)
  • Kathleen Harragan (incumbent)
  • Timothy Martel

Library Trustees:

Bonnie Phaneuf is the only candidate to draw (and file) papers for the BOS’ 2 year term. All other seats have had papers pulled by those currently occupying them.

Want to join the race? You can still pick up nomination papers until noon on Friday, March 21st.

But don’t wait too long to get started. You only have until 5:00 pm on Monday, March 24th to file papers signed by 44 registered voters.
