Has someone made a difference in the life of your special needs child? Nominate them for a ‘Go the Distance’ award

On Thursday, May 15, 2012, the Northborough/Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council (NSPAC) will host its fourth annual Go the Distance Award ceremonies. Organizers are looking for nominations for this year’s awards.

Here’s more information about NSPAC’s annual award:

On this night we recognize stellar achievement by district staff and community members who have made a significant contribution to enhancing the life of a student with special needs. This includes, but is not limited to, bus drivers, teachers, cafeteria workers, paraprofessionals, those in support positions, students, and community members such as babysitters, dentists, hairdressers, librarians, neighbors and more.

Any family member or guardian of a child with special needs in Northborough or Southborough—whether or not that child has an in or out-of-district placement—is free to make a nomination. All of those who are nominated will be recognized.

The nomination deadline is April 18. You can download complete information including a nomination form here.

I think we can all agree that the faculty at our local schools are absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond! I’ve witnessed so much love these teachers have for our kids. Can we just nominate all of those teachers?
