Most Algonquin sports have ended their championship bids. But two all-state athletes are still reaching for a bigger title.

The ARHS baseball team made it to quarter finals on June 2nd. There, they lost against top seed Doherty High School.  (Final Score: Doherty 1: ARHS 0). The team ended its season with a 12-8 record.

Last Saturday, Algonquin women’s outdoor track team placed sixth overall in the All State Track & Field Outdoor Championships at Bridgewater State University, with some impressive highlights by two members of the team.

Senior Carly Railing came first in the Girls Pole Vault and sophomore Ariel Wilbekin came in third place for the Girls Triple Jump. This Saturday, June 14th at 10:00 am the two girls will return to Bridgewater to compete in the New England Championship field events.

The men’s outdoor track team didn’t rank as a team, but competed in the 4×800 meter relay and came in 11th place.
