Two years ago, the Friends of the Southborough Library were in danger of shutting down after 40 years. Fortunately, the news spurred some library supporters into action. But they still need your help.
Every June, the group needs to vote in a new board. The good news is that they have the volunteers, they just need members to vote!
If you want to support the library, please join the Friends next Thursday. You can vote the board in, then they carry the load for the rest of the year. (Though members who want to get more involved are always welcome.)
Only voting members can vote – but all that requires is $5 for annual dues.
The candidates “running” for office this year are:
- President – Beth Melo*
- Vice President – Amy Yazdani
- Treasurer – Prudence Webster
- Secretary – Dolores Fallon
