Happy 4th of July: Plan your long weekend

So, obviously tomorrow’s a national holiday. (Though mother nature doesn’t seem to care about any of our planned festivities.)

I’m off for the long weekend. But first, a few bits to share.

As you would expect, town offices and general services will be closed tomorrow.

This weekend also begins the Southborough Library’s summer hours. That means that it’s closed on Saturdays (and thus the weekend) until September. So if you want some good reads, movies to keep you occupied in the rain, or museum passes to enjoy over the weekend – get there today. (It’s open until 9:00 pm tonight.)

Looking for things to do this long weekend?

Yesterday, Alyssa shared some area festivities for the 4th (if not cancelled/delayed by rain) and asked readers to do the same.

This summer we’ve also added to the Favorite Places you may enjoy. And I introduced a series on “What to do with your kids this summer“.

Finally, it may “rain on your parade” tomorrow, but rain didn’t interfere with the children’s parade this Tuesday. Here are couple more contributed photos from the Southborough Library’s early “4th of July Parade”.

Happy Independence Day!

Updated (7/4/14 9:45 am) Originally, I accidentally Geisa’s husband’s name instead of hers!
