Last night, Southborough Fire Department shared news on Facebook about an unusual rescue.

Southborough News filled in some of the missing details. Apparently, a 32 year old horse slipped on ice and had a bad fall.

The incident at a Southborough farm required a team of rescuers. Helpers included the SFD, police, Ted’s Towing and a veterinarian from Still River Vetirinary Services in Bolton.

SFD posted the following pics and update last night:

For more dramatic photos – including the raising of the approximately 1,800 lb. horse by tow truck, see the Southborough News post.
