Grace M. (Constantino) Caforio, 92, died Monday, Jan. 26th in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness.
Born in Worcester, Grace married and moved to Grafton where she raised her family and lived for 25 years. She worked at Kaman Corporation for many years as an administrative assistant. Upon retirement, she moved to Southborough.
Grace was regarded by all who knew her as an infinitely loving mother and grandmother with an unrelenting sense of humor and a generous and compassionate heart. She never missed an opportunity to brighten the day of everyone that she encountered with a kind word and a sweet smile. Grace’s lifetime was a splendid example of a life lived with unpretentious authenticity.
She leaves a son, Oreste F. Caforio of Leicester; two daughters, Carla M. Caforio and her husband, Carl S. Anderson, Jr. of Southborough and Linda A. Caforio of Millbury; three grandchildren, Carl S. Anderson, III, Marie Skye Anderson both of Southborough and Taylor C. Caforio of Millbury; a brother, Dominic Constantino of VA; and many nieces and nephews. Grace’s husband, Oreste C. Caforio died in 1970. Her sister, Anna M. Powers, also predeceased her.
Grace’s funeral will be held on Thursday, February 5th, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main Street in Millbury. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
