Community Health grants – apply by February 17

An organization organizing health fund grants for Worcester County asked me to get the word out to our town.

The Greater Worcester Community Foundation is accepting applications for its Fallon/OrNda Community Health Fund grants.

Grants range from $5,000 – $25,000. Grants should be used for:

  • supporting or creating primary care outreach services to vulnerable populations
  • developing continuing managed care services (rather than episodic or uncoordinated care)
  • removing barriers that prevent people from receiving services (e.g., lack of transportation, cultural competency of providers, language differences)
  • disease prevention and health promotion programming
  • and/or agency collaboration

Grants may be for operational expenditures such as personnel costs, program expenses, small equipment purchases or physical improvements. Collaborative efforts will be given a higher priority.

Qualified applicants from any Worcester County community can apply by Tuesday, February 17.
