Tuesday, July 21, 2015

  • Advanced Tai Chi (10:15 – 11:45 am) @ Southborough Library Main Floor: Join a group of experienced participants for meditation and Tai Chi in the library’s main floor shortly after we open on select Tuesday mornings. All are welcome! For more information, contact Jeanne Friswell at 508-485-5031
  • Games & Puzzles (10:30 am – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Kids will have the chance to play different games and puzzles all day in the Children’s Room! Registration is not required.
  • Poetry Workshop Series (6:30 pm – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Public Library, main floor: The Southborough Public Library & the Worcester County Poetry Association are teaming up to bring a short series of poetry writing workshops to the community! “A Vexing Compromise” focuses on examining work of a single poet each session. This week’s foucs is Lawrence Ferlinghetti. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Puppet Show (2:30 pm – 3:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Main Level: Sparky’s Puppets presents Tales of Sea and Shore. Imagine…a pirate and a parrot discover a treasure chest full of seaside stories! All are welcome, no registration required.

  • eBook Help Hour (6:00 – 7:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Main Floor: Need help with a new Kindle, nook, or ereader? Want to learn how to electronically check out books from home? Join library director Ryan Donovan to ask your questions.
  • Southborough Summer Concert Series (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Neary School grounds: Featuring 4EverFab (playing Beatles tunes) Free family friendly concerts at Neary School field by the tennis courts. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Rain Date: July 30. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Pajama Story Time (7:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Come to the library in your pajamas to hear stories! This event will be held outside on the lawn, weather permitting, so bring a blanket. (In inclement weather, it will be held in the Children’s Room.) All welcome and no registration is necessary.
