Go fly a . . . drone – October 3 (Updated)

Town Recreation is embracing technology in a new course offering this fall. On Saturday, October 3rd, children in 5th grade and older can learn to fly a drone. The course requires parent participation as well.

Each session is 1 hour and costs $70:

Find out what you look like from 40 feet above out when you fly our drone and it takes your picture from on high!

Recreational drones are the hottest new technology and we want to share them with you. You will learn the state of the drone technology today, have a quick lesson on how to operate one, and then take the controls for a short flying session—shooting pictures of yourself and your class from the sky.

Tuition includes a $10 fee for the camera memory card with your photos.

Grades 5 and up with an adult (one child with one adult)

Registration is currently open with a handful of spots for sessions at 8:30, 9:30, or 10:30 am.

Hello Beth,

Thanks for posting this! One correction to the title of this post: the date for these lessons is October 3rd (not Oct 10th).

With best wishes,
-Ravi
