Last weekend, the Boston Badminton in Westborough hosted a the Boston Junior Open. The tournament pulled in 70 junior players, including kids from New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Three of the biggest winners hailed from Southborough.
Sitan Zhan and Charles Tang came in first and second place for the Boys U11 Singles. And Jennifer Cui won the Girls U13 Singles.
Two of the champs scored additional honors in doubles competitions. Cui won the U13 Girl Doubles and the U15 Mix Doubles. Tang (and partner) came in 4th for the U13 Mix Doubles.
