It’s been too long since I’ve shared news from the Southborough Fire Department. Below are some highlights from their Facebook posts this winter.

The most recent ice rescue they shared wasn’t quite the kind they’ve been training for. But apparently, they are used to it by now!

[Note: I’m guessing “drone” is an autocorrect fail, and meant to be “from”]

Group 1 on duty today. Motor vehicle rollover on Mt Vickory Rd. No injuries but the road will be closed for about an hour.

This morning we had department training on ice rescue. We utilized our new rigid inflatable craft to try out new and safe ways to get victims out of the water. More pictures to follow.

Group 3 started off the inclement weather this evening responding to a roll-over on chestnut hill rd. Luckily there were no injuries. Wear your seatbelt and take it easy out there!
