Marlborough Hospital Scholarships

Two more scholarship programs are reaching out to Southborough residents. These two both come from UMass Memorial Marlborough Hospital.

Both are for students pursuing training in healthcare. One focuses on a career in nursing, the other is for anyone pursuing a degree or technical training in the field. Applications are due March 31st and April 7th, respectively.

The opportunities are available to students in eight towns, including Southborough.

Marlborough Hospital Announces Scholarship Applications Are Now Available at Local High Schools

Marlborough, MA, (January 17, 2017) – Marlborough Hospital announces the availability of two applications for scholarships which are annually awarded for students pursuing a career in health care: The Herbert “Buster” MacLaren Nursing Scholarship and the Marlborough Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship.

The MacLaren Nursing Scholarship is awarded annually to two high school seniors and to those post-high school students who are planning to or are currently pursuing a degree in the nursing field. The scholarship is open to students who reside or attend school in Berlin, Bolton, Hudson, Marlborough, Northborough, Southborough, Stow and Westborough.

Each year, UMass Memorial – Marlborough Hospital also awards several scholarships to local high school seniors pursuing a degree or technical training in the health care field. The scholarships are awarded in honor of the Marlborough Hospital Auxiliary and are open to students who reside or attend school in Berlin, Bolton, Hudson, Marlborough, Northborough, Southborough and Stow.

Those who would like to apply or are interested in learning more about these scholarships may contact their school’s Guidance Department. The MacLaren Nursing Scholarship applications must be received by March 31, 2017. The Marlborough Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship applications must be postmarked by April 7, 2017.
