Southborough police part of prostitution sting

Southborough Wicked Local posted news of ten arrests from a prostitution sting last week:

The sweep, conducted by the State Police High Risk Victim Unit and the Northborough, Southborough, Westborough and Shrewsbury police departments on Thursday night, is part of an effort to combat human trafficking and sexual exploitation of women, [Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early] said in a press release.

“The focus of the operation was to attack the demand side of human trafficking, where we too often see women forced into prostitution,” said Early.

The arrest was in Northborough. And none of the “johns” arrested live in Southborough. But Police Chief Kenneth Paulhus confirmed for me that Southborough’s officer on the Worcester County Drug Task Force assisted.
