Southborough Police arrested an alleged potential marijuana dealer living in town.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, a Southborough resident was stopped for speeding and arrested for allegedly driving under the influence.

A subsequent search of the car turned up enough drugs to result in additional charges. The accused is currently out on bail.

Here are more details from the press release submitted by Chief Paulhus:

It’s only decriminalized in MA, which basically gives a slap on the wrist for small amounts. Having 5 lbs of pot, scales, and baggies means you’re a dealer = way different, and not okay. Great job PD!

Decriminalized and a slap on the wrist or is it legal. I voted NO so either way is not important to me, I just wish this issue was a bit clearer for those using it. I guess i do understand the problem with 5 lbs in the car.
