Christmas Tree pickup delayed to January 13th

Boy Scout Troop 1 has announced a snow delay in their Christmas Tree pickup program.

The troop has offered to haul away your Christmas Trees for $10 each. It was originally scheduled for this Saturday. Yesterday it was announced:

with temperatures expected to be hovering around 0 and cleanup from today’s storm expected to be continuing into Saturday we have decided to postpone pickup by one week to keep our scouts, drivers, and streets safe. Please do not put your tree out to the street until the cleanup is complete so that snow covered trees do not become hazards for our plow operators. Stay safe and warm!

Pickups will now take place the morning of Saturday, January 13.

To schedule your pickup email troop1trees@gmail.com or call 508-330-2361.

Presumably that means requests can now be taken until 8:00 pm next Friday. Be sure to provide your name, phone number, and address.

Your donation should be in a plastic bag clipped or taped to the top of the tree. The trees must be left at the end of your driveway by 9:00 am that Saturday morning.
