Events this week: Free Skate, World of Owls, Jewelry Making, Senior Bingo, and Tall Tales

It’s February break for Southborough and Northborough public schools, this week. That means a lot of families have skipped town. But it also means there will be more kids around during the day.

(And it means I may not be posting as frequently as usual.)

For families who didn’t bolt – it’s probably too late to sign kids up for any week long camps or clinics. But you can find some options for area day camps and classes here. (That includes one at Chestnut Hill Farm that I forgot about until Saturday.)

There are additional activities in Town throughout the week for kids/families (and seniors). Here are highlights of what’s happening.

  • Exciting Women’s Circle (10:30 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: Senior Center’s social circle for ladies. (New members are always welcome.) This month’s theme: “Travels”. Come and share stories about your favorite travels and why they were special. For more information, call the Senior Center at 508-229-4453
  • World of Owls (3:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Wingmasters will be at the library with “World of Owls.” Children will see and learn about these night birds. This program is best for children ages 5 and up. Registration is not required. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Senior Bingo (12:00 – 2:00 pm) @ The Southborough Senior Center, 9 Cordaville Rd: Come join Bob Myers and Doriann Jasinski for awonderful afternoon of Bingo and prizes. The room will be open at 11:15 am if you would like to bring your lunch or join in with the Café lunch for a suggested donation of $3.
