There isn’t often a live broadcast of at Board of Selectmen meeting during the day. There is this morning and it’s an important one. A few minutes ago, selectmen opened their meeting to interview finalists for the new Fire Chief.

Thanks to Southborough Access Media, the broadcast is available via streaming here. It’s also viewable on the public access station, Verizon-37 and Charter-192. Click here to see this week’s schedule with rebroadcast times. There is no public comment during the interviews. Chair Lisa Braccio explained that selectmen are taking turns asking one question at a time. The board is interviewing Neil McPherson (the Wayland Assistant Chief, also working for Sherborne and Ashland) followed by Steven Achilles (the Portsmouth Chief). You can view their resumes here.

Updated (3/15/19 9:13 am): The unanimous decision was just made to hire Portsmouth, NH’s Chief Steven Achilles. Stay tuned for a more detailed post.
