Discover the Bobolinks Hike – Thursday

Grab your bird watching binoculars. Chestnut Hill Farm is holding a special hike this Thursday night:

Come for a guided evening search for one of New England’s most well-traveled avian visitors: the bobolink. This meadow nesting songbird is only found in a few Massachusetts locations, and Chestnut Hill Farm is one of them.

Hear the story of the bobolink’s incredible annual journey from Patagonia and learn why they are important indicators of environmental health. Join our knowledgeable ranger for an easy hike in the meadow to look for these special birds and other wildlife that depend on this type of increasingly shrinking ecosystem. Bring binoculars if you have them!

Pre-registration is encouraged but walk-ins are welcome.

It takes place Thursday, May 30 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.

The birdwalk isn’t free. Registration is $9 per The Trustees of Reservations member and $17 per non-member. You can sign up here.
