The Southborough Gardeners are preparing to spruce up the Town for the holidays again. Decorating Southborough’s municipal buildings and landmarks with wreaths is an annual effort for the group. This year, they’re putting out a call for donations to help fund the program:

Southborough Gardeners wreath (contributed)It’s that time of year again! The Southborough Gardeners are gearing up to decorate the town with evergreen wreaths. It is a cheerful reminder to town residents and commuters that the holidays are fast approaching.

The Gardeners do this as a free community service to beautify our town in keeping with their nonprofit charter. They use the funds that are raised by their volunteer gardeners and donated by generous contributors to offset the cost of the wreaths and decorative bows. The Southborough Gardeners welcome donations to help defray the costs of the wreaths. Donations are tax-deductible and donors will be acknowledged on My Southborough.com

Donations can be made out to Southborough Gardeners and sent directly to:

P.O. Box 184
Southborough, MA 01772

Traditional locations that the Gardeners decorate included Town buildings and businesses on Main Street, the Veterans’ Monument, the Senior Center, Cemetery, Cultural Arts Center, Police and Fire stations, and the Library.

They also hang them on businesses that help support the program through their donations.
