Library launching social/educational lunches – “Meet & Eat” this Monday

The Southborough Library is launching a new, monthly brown bag lunch series. Each “Meet & Eat” will feature a brief presentation followed by discussion over lunch.

Maybe you’re tired of eating alone at your desk/staff room. Or maybe lunch for you is generally alone at home. Either way, the Library is encouraging you to bring your lunch to the Library this Monday:

To make this work for people who work, the event is only 30 minutes (12:00 – 12:30 pm). So far, two events are scheduled:

  • On Monday, February 10th, the library will screen a video Ted Talk “My Year Reading A Book From Every Country in the World” in which author Ann Morgan guides the audience through a literary journey in 196 countries. (It looks like that video is about 12 minutes, leaving time for discussion after.)
  • On Monday, March 9th, Southborough Recreation staff will talk about their new programs and events.
