This weekend is Troop 1’s annual Southborough Pancake Breakfast. (In preparation, you may get a knock on the door this week from a Boy Scout selling tickets.)

It’s the Boy Scout troop’s primary fundraiser. Proceeds from the event support activities like camping, hiking, and community service projects.

Pancake Breakfast (by Beth Melo)The breakfast is Sunday, March 1, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm in the Neary School cafeteria.

Scouts will be serving up the usual fare – pancakes, sausages, ham and beverages.

For the pancakes, you can top them with traditional pancake syrup. Or you can do like my kids and hit the toppings bar.Pancake Breakfast (by Beth Melo) (My kids’ loaded up plates tend to look more like make your own sundaes than a pancake breakfast!)

Tickets cost $6 for adults, $3 for seniors and kids 6-12, and children 5 and under eat for free. Don’t worry if you don’t see a scout at your door. You can still buy tickets at the event.

If you have any questions, you can email troop1pancakes@gmail.com.
