Fall RAP – Registration opens Friday for in-person and remote classes (Updated)

The Town will be offering in-person Recreation After School Program classes for K-5 students this fall. The fall RAP session will begin the week that the elementary schools launch Hybrid attendance.

Recreation is warning that registration is capped – so parents need to sign up quickly. Registration opens tomorrow morning.

All of the programs hosted at the schools will be held outdoors (even the artsy/craftsy ones). Indoor classes will be offered at other facilities. (Participants in those programs will need parents to drive them there.)

To mitigate risk, in-person programs will be limited to students in whichever Hybrid cohort is attending school that day*. There are also remote programs that both cohorts and Stand Alone Remote Program students can join.

As for in-person classes for SARP students, they have their own dedicated offerings.

Programs are currently slated for Finn, Woodward and Neary schools. That is based on the timing of school openings. Rec informs me that they will include Trottier Middle School in the next round of RAP classes.

Here are the classes offered starting the last week of September.

*Although the listing descriptions for classes on the Recreation website don’t specify Cohorts, it will come up during the registration process.

Updated (9/3/20 6:52 pm): I inserted the two links that were initially missing from the Rec website.

A note from Rec informed me that Sewing for SARP is on Mondays. That alerted me that I had the wrong link for that program.
