Seeking resident with Construction or Engineering experience to join Capital Planning Committee

The Town is seeking a resident with specific experience for one of its critical committees. The Capital Planning Committee is once again seeking a volunteer with construction or engineering experience.

The Committee was formed to evaluate capital items and projects to better help the Town (and voters) plan out expenditures. This week, the Town put out a call to fill a recent vacancy on the committee. The appeal echoes a call they put out in January:

Capital Planning seeking new members
Construction or Engineering experience desired

The Capital Planning Committee is actively seeking a resident with expertise in construction or engineering experience to fill an open position on the Committee. The Committee was formed by the Board of Selectmen in March 2020 to review and refine the town’s 10 year capital plan, while also creating proper oversight of capital projects that are funded each year at Town Meeting. The Committee is currently in the assessment phase of multiple projects. Residents wishing to learn more are welcome to reach out to the Committee Chair, Jason Malinowski, at A copy of the Committee’s Charge can be found here:

Any resident interested in seeking appointment will be scheduled for an appointment with the Board of Selectmen who are the appointing authority for this Committee.

Residents looking to apply for the open position should submit the Citizen Activity Form here:
