Halloween is Sunday night. Warning – kids might be out a bit later than usual, since there’s no public school for kids this Monday. (November 1st is a Professional Development Day.)

For those of you who are new to Town, Southborough doesn’t have official hours. Trick or Treating tends to start after dark, around 5:30 pm.

Town festivities all took place last weekend and school festivities during the week. (If you missed them, you can enjoy some photo highlights below.)

This year, there won’t be a mega-display on Parkerville Road. (The owners are taking a break this year, but may be back at it next fall.) But a reader shared pics of a fun display on Bryden Road.

I didn’t make it to any of the Halloween parades or parties this year. But, thanks to social media, I can share some of the highlights. (And if you’re in the mood for jack-o-lanterns, you can check out my pics from the Pumpkin Stroll earlier this month, here.)

On Facebook, the Southborough Fire Dept and Southborough Rec shared pics from last Saturday’s Southborough Firefighter’s Association’s party and Rec’s Trunk or Treat and Movie Night that followed. Here are some of those highlights:

You can find better pics from the events in the Community Advocate.

Owen Jones Photography captured pics from this week’s Sachem’s Haunted Coffeehouse at Algonquin this week. Here are some of those highlights:

We missed the house on Parkerville this year! Halloween wasn’t the same. I hope the owners are well.
