Last week was a good one for Algonquin’s Girls Outdoor Track. The Titans beat Shepherd Hill 110.5-34.5, improving their record to 2-1. They followed that by winning the Division 1 District E Relay on Saturday.
Boys Outdoor Track Boys Outdoor Track came in 5th place out of 16 schools in the Districts. Earlier in the week, they lost to Shepherd Hill 60-85, their 3rd straight loss.
MIAA Power Rankings have been posted for some spring sports. For Algonquin, Boys Lacrosse was the highest performing.
Gonk Boys Lacrosse is ranked 18th for Division 1. Their current record is 5-2. Last week, the Gonk Boys beat Medway 8-5 but lost to Shrewsbury 3-11.
Girls Lacrosse is ranked 24th for Division 1. Their record is 4-3. Last week, they beat Medway 19-6 but lost to Shrewsbury 7-12. (Click here for Telegram photos.).
Baseball is ranked 31st in Division 1 with a 3-7 record. Last week they beat Marlborough 16-0, but lost to Leominster 2-6 and Westborough 0-7.
Softball is ranked 55th in the Division 2 with a 2-6 record. Last week, they lost to St. Bernard’s 1-15, Marlborough 7-12, and North Middlesex Regional 2-14.
Boys Volleyball is ranked 27th in Division 1 with a 3-4 record. Last week, they lost to St. John’s 0-3 and Wachusett 0-3.
I learned that Algonquin’s Girls Golf team is a regional co-op. Unlike the Girls Hockey team, this one is hosted out of Westborough. They have a 2-2 record. Last week, the Rangers beat Auburn 35.5- 8.5 and Quabbin 29-20 but lost to Notre Dame Academy – Worcester 34-16. (Earlier in the season, they lost to Wellesley 33-21.)
In ARHS Tennis, the Boys have a 2-4 record after losing to Nashoba 2-3 last week. The Girls also lost to Nashoba 2-3, followed with a 0-5 loss to Wachusett. Their record is 3-5.
In Rugby, the Girls lost to Lincoln-Sudbury 17-43. (Owen Jones Photography posted pics here. The Boys were scheduled to play Xaverian Brothers last week, but no scores have been posted.
