Rotary seeking donations for disaster relief in Turkey and Syria

You can donate online/via mail, or bring your wallet to the Transfer Station on Saturday.

The Rotary Club of Southborough is asking the community to help people in need again. This time, their focus on on victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

Among Southborough Rotary’s ongoing good works is raising funds to help people in dire circumstances across the globe. To that end, they created a “Foundation” for international relief. Funds are used to support “local and international causes” through grants, disaster relief funds, and contributions towards the “Fight against Polio”. 

Turkey Syria Earthquake reliefRight now, they are focused on helping survivors impacted by the massive earthquake causing a rising death toll of over 35,000 people in Turkey and Syria and left communities in ruins.

This Saturday, February 18th from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Rotary will be accepting donations in person at the Transfer Station. (They will also return the following two weekends, though the hours may vary.)

We appreciate any size donation. If anyone wishes to make a donation tax deductible, they can ask any of the Rotarians at the Transfer Station on how to do that.

But you don’t need to swing by to donate. Contributions are also being accepted by other means:
