Kids Winter Yoga Adventure – Tuesday

Southborough Rec is promoting a special yoga and meditation class for 4-8 year olds

Registration is open for a yoga and mindfulness class for kids. Next week’s class will draw inspiration from the winter sky.

Southborough Recreation promotes: “Kids Yoga is full of creative and playful ways to connect body, mind and breath!”.

Rec’s program “Kids Winter Yoga Adventure” is for 4-8 year olds. I previously posted about classes offered for January, but missed the subsequent promotion of more classes that started in February. Now there’s just one more currently listed for Tuesday March 14th from 4:00 – 5:00 pm.*

Rec’s registration page describes of the series:

Our fun and creative classes will introduce some basics of yoga, mindfulness and meditation- while we learn to slow down and appreciate movement of body, stillness of mind and the superpower of our breath! No experience necessary!

Rec flyer for winter yogaA Facebook post by instructor Emma Bartolini of Children’s Mindful Yoga highlights a theme for the next class:

Animals in the Night Sky!
We will draw our inspiration as we cast our gaze up to the winter night sky.
We’ll become constellations like the Big Dipper, The Big Dog, The Ram, Pegasus and so many more!
We’ll learn moon salutations, and practice our star breathing!

The class will be held at Rec’s recreation room in the South Union Building at 21 Highland Street. (Parents are asked to stay throughout the program in a separate area.)

The cost for each class is $15 per child and $5 per additional sibling. To register, click here.

*(A Facebook event indicates another class may take place on March 21st, titled “Hello Spring!”.)
