Southborough Recreation has posted good news for Pickleball lovers. The Mooney Courts (on the Finn School campus) will reopen on Monday, March 20th.

In preparation, Rec is promoting the rules for court hours and use.

Priority for use is granted to public schools and Recreation Department programs. (Rec Department program will be posted.)

Mooney Pickleball Court rulesFor other players, use is on a first come, first serve basis with no reservations.* If other players are waiting, use is limited to 30 minutes.

The courts are open from 8:00 am to dusk. But on weekdays, use before 3:30 pm is restricted to Residents Only. (Rec doesn’t permit the public courts for private use.)

No food or drink is allowed on the courts, and proper shoes are required at all time.

The rules also remind to “Be respectful of all players, at all times.”

The Mooney courts also include one tennis court (with lines for pickleball). The Richardson Courts at Neary school are all tennis courts but one is lined for pickleball play as well.)

*A notice on the Rec website specifies that the “Playtime Scheduler” website is not endorsed by Red and can’t be used to reserve Mooney Court times.
