St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is hosting a “Dinner Church” this Sunday evening. The event is free, but organizers are asking for pre-registration by Friday night so they can prepare.

The church invites the community to join them for “a sacred meal” on Sunday, March 2nd at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall:

We’ll make the meal together, light candles, sing simple songs, receive Holy Communion, and reflect and pray together.

The event is offered as an option for those who can’t make Mass on Sunday morning. Mass is incorporated into a community dinner. Participants will work together in the parish hall kitchen to prepare the meal.

For those who can’t cook, the invite assures, “No worries! We need help setting tables, cleaning up, or adding to the discussion!”

St. Mark’s plans to hold Dinner Church monthly. Future planned dates are Sundays May 7th and June 4th.
