This week is “Library Staff Appreciation Week”. The Friends of the Southborough Library* are inviting the public to show their support through an “Appreciation Station” temporarily set up at the Library.

While I’m sharing that news, I’ll also remind that there are special spring break programs for kids at the Library this afternoon and tomorrow:

Wednesday, April 19, 2023

  • Tom Knight puppeteer at Sandy Creek School district in April (from Facebook post)Music with Tom Knight (3:00 – 4:00 pm): Join musician Tom Knight for stories, puppets, and music, including “The Library Boogie”! All welcome and no registration is required.

Thursday, April 20, 2023

  • Animal Adventures (11:00 am – 12:00 pm): A zookeeper from Animal Adventures will bring 8-10 animals to the library. Children will get to learn about and pet these animals. All ages welcome and no registration required. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library.

As for the Appreciation Station, Friends’ Secretary Mary Tinti asked me to share:

All are invited to share your gratitude and leave a note of thanks as part of Library Staff Appreciation Week!

The Appreciation Station is open now near the first floor entrance and ready for your comments all week long!

*Full disclosure, I am the President of Friends of the Southborough Library. (In addition to thanking the staff, I’d like to thank Mary Tinti for putting this together and Vice President Kathy Gittins for volunteering to help keep it organized over the week.)
