Troop 92 recaps Golf Tournament Success

A member of Troop 92 asked me to share a recap and photos from the Golf Tournament fundraiser they held on Saturday at the Southborough Golf Club.

Thanks to the support of sponsors, it was a success. Funds raised will go towards the Troop’s community projects, including Eagle Scout projects.

Eight teams golfed in the first annual event (playing two rounds on the 9 hole course). The team of Tom Curran, Jason Curran, Robby Griffin, and Sean Hurley came in first place. Jim Mullins won the prize for closest to the pin and Jason Curran for long drive.

Golfers were fed breakfast and lunch (breakfast sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs) cooked up by the Boy Scouts. And there were several baskets raffled off with items donated by local businesses.

The weather was mostly fair until a downpour at the end (drenching volunteers doing clean up.)
