  • Hike with Goats (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Your reservation gets you and your group of family or friends an hour-long experience with a friendly goat on its own harness and leash. You will first learn how to walk with the goat, and then you’ll be accompanied by a farm staff member as you and your new goat friend make your way around the farm and its trails.   • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Knitting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Bi-monthly social knitting group. Beginners are welcome and supplies will be provided, though you can also bring your own and “any creation you are working on”. For planning purposes, the Senior Center is asking potential attendees to RSVP. For details, see related post.
  • Drop-in Chess (12:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Bring a friend, or make a new one, as attendees play the competitive classic game: Chess. Weekly program over the summer (except for July 24th.)

  • Bridge (12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group, welcoming new participants. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • TaleWise presents “Science Heroes: Saving Earth Together” (4:00 – 4:45 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Best for ages 3+. This entertainment for kids combines science and storytelling. Volunteers will help solve problems by doing science experiments. No registration required. (Sponsored by The Friends of the Southborough Library and Fay School.) For details, see dedicated post.
  • Teen Design Lab (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Weekly drop-in for teens to explore the Idea Lab equipment. No Registration required. (Made possible by support from The Friends of the Southborough Library.) For details, see related post.
  • Poetry Workshop (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Bring in five copies of original poetry to share. The group will provide supportive feedback. If you don’t have a poem, come anyway and share your insights. (Meets twice monthly.)
  • Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night (8:00 – 10:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Weekly Trivia game night with prizes. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Southborough cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Elder Law Advice (10:00 – 10:45 am) @ phone or zoom: Southborough seniors can sign up for a free 15 minute session of individualized legal advice from an Elder Law attorney. For details, see the Senior Center’s newsletter, p. 9.
  • Senior Center Game Day (11:00 am – 1: 00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Pre-registration is required (and it may be full). Enjoy games and a lunch. Most will be inside, but some may take place on the lawn if weather permits.  (Suggested Donation of $6). For details, see related post.
  • Outdoor Story Time (4:00 – 4:45 pm) @ Southborough Library lawn: Join Miss Kim for stories and fun! Please bring a blanket or chair. This event is for all ages and no registration is required. (In case of inclement weather, story time will be held in the Children’s Room.)
  • Eco-Friends (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Weekly discussion group for kids ages 12+ who care about our environment and are looking for ways to make a difference! For details, see related post.
  • Southborough Summer Concert Series (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Neary’s Outdoor Stage, 53 Parkerville Road: Southborough Recreation’s free weekly family friendly outdoor concert series. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs. This week’s featured act is Jumpin’ Juba. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Mah Jongg (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: The weekly program would love new players to join. Feel free to stop by to watch or talk to one of the players to see if you would be interested. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Drop-in Crafts (10:30 am – 4:30 pm) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Stop by the Children’s Room during the day to make a variety of crafts! All craft projects can be taken home. This event is for all ages and no registration is required.
  • Family Farm Yoga (6:00 – 7:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Join us for a Children’s Mindful Yoga adventure. This class is best suited for families with children ages 4-8. Please note that you are asked to participate alongside your child.. Pre-registration (and fee) required. For details, see related post.
  • Science Adventure Book Club (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Registration is required to join the Southborough Library’s chapter of the Museum of Science weekly summer book club for 4th – 8th graders. For details, see related post.
  • Sit & Knit (7:00 -8:30pm) @ Southborough Library: Biweekly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.

  • Dull Men’s Club (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: Casual social club for senior men. New members are always welcome to drop in. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Kids Jam (11:00 – 11:30 am) @ Southborough Library Lawn: Kids are invited to dance and sing along to a variety of traditional and popular children’s songs Best for newborns through preschool age. No registration necessary. This event will be held on the library lawn. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library.
  • Canasta (11:15 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
