Police asking for help investigating burglary

A home on MacNeil Drive was broken into while the owners were away. The Southborough Police are asking the public to report anything suspicious they observed between December 14th and January 2nd.

Below is the detail from the SPD’s press release:

On Tuesday, 01/02/24 at approx. 1700 hrs, Southborough Police responded to a residence on Macneill Drive in Southborough to investigate a report of a past Burglary at the residence. The homeowners met with the responding officers and advised that they had just returned home from a family vacation and found that their home had been broken into. The residents reported that they were missing jewelry and other valuables from their home. At this time, it appears that the suspect(s) was able to gain access to the residence by entering through a second story window in the back of the home, at some point while the family was away on vacation.

If anyone observed any suspicious behavior in the Macneill Drive area within the time frame of December 14, 2023 and Jan. 2, 2024 (or has any additional information regarding this break-in), please contact our Detective division at (508) 485-2121; or through email: Keith

Nichols- knichols@southboroughma.com or Lt. Sean McCarthy- smccarthy@southboroughma.com.

 Thank you.
