Southborough Recreation announced that after school programs are cancelled today. Algonquin cancelled games scheduled for today. And the Southborough Library is closing at 1:00 pm today, with afternoon and evening programs are postponed as a result.
All of that is of course because of the weather impact on driving. Today’s lousy conditions also contributed to a bumpy start for the school week, especially for Algonquin.
This morning, NSBORO Schools initially texted parents:
Due to the weather conditions, there will be delays this morning. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Thank you.
The word “delay” caused some confusion. The high school sent out a follow up messages clarifying there was “NO DELAY to the start of the school day”. Algonquin did push the start of the exams by 15 minutes to accommodate late arriving students. The district then clarified the delay was to “transportation”.
