  • Easter Sunrise Service (6:30 am) @ Hopkinton State Park, marina area: United Parishes of Southborough welcomes the public to its annual service. (In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held at The First Community Church, 137 Southville Road)

Monday, April 1, 2024

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Knitting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Bi-monthly social knitting group. Beginners are welcome and supplies will be provided, though you can also bring your own and “any creation you are working on”. For details, see related post.
  • Narcan Training (3:00 – 3:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: The Greater Boroughs Partnership for Health is providing another session to train the public on how to use Narcan, plus the necessary supplies. Registration is required. For details, click here.

  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Bridge (12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group, welcoming new participants. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Cook Book Club (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: New participants are encouraged and all ages and partners welcome.  Email your selected dish in advance to msorensen@southboroughma.com. For details, see related post.
  • Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night (8:00 – 10:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Weekly Trivia game night with prizes. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Southborough cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Technology Essentials for Seniors (11:30 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: A presentation over lunch (sponsored by Therapy Gardens). Registration is required (and it could be full). For details, see related post.
  • Southborough Rotary Club (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Southborough. New and prospective members are always welcome. (Held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month.)

  • Mah Jongg (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: The weekly program would love new players to join. Feel free to stop by to watch or talk to one of the players to see if you would be interested. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Baby/Toddler Storytime (11:00 – 11:45 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: A weekly program for ages 0-2 years with their parents/caregivers. Each session will include puppets and music. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Drop in Legos (3:30 – 4:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Children are invited to build with Legos and display their creations in the Children’s Room. Legos will be provided. Parents or caregivers must stay with children.
  • Fourth & Fifth Grade Book Group (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Room: Monthly Book Club with discussion and activities. For details, see related post.
  • Southborough Safe Spaces – Raising Resilient Youth (7:00 pm) @ St Mark’s Church, 27 Main Street: “Strategies for fostering healthy relationship among queer youth, their families, and their peers.” This event for parents/caregivers is hosted by Southborough Safe Spaces for LBGTQ+ youth of all faiths and their allies.   • Virtual Book Club (7:30 – 8:30 pm) @ zoom: Southborough Library hosted book group. Participants can chat about what they’re reading or listening to with library staff and other patrons. Meet once a month to informally exchange ideas. To sign up, contact rdonovan@cwmars.org.

  • Dull Men’s Club (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: Casual social club for senior men. New members are always welcome to drop in. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Kids Jam (11:00 – 11:30 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Newborns through preschoolers are invited to dance and sing. No registration necessary. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library. For details, see related post.

  • NEF Trivia Night (7:00 pm) @ Cyprian Keyes Golf Club, Boylston: Northborough Education Foundation’s annual fundraiser is a Team Trivia Night. Funds raised are used to support programs in Northborough schools, including Algonquin Regional High School . For details, see dedicated post.

  • Read to a Dog (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Children’s Room: Register for kids ages 5+ to get a chance to read to a therapy dog. For details, see related post.
  • Electronic, Appliance, and Bicycle Recycle Day Placeholder (9:00 am – 2:00 pm) @ St. Anne’s Church, 20 Boston Rd: A portion of the event proceeds will be paid to St. Anne’s Church.. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Family Walk and Learn: Using A Map & Compass (11:00 am – 12:30 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: A ranger led walk that will increase your confidence in reading and using maps and teaching your map to “speak compass” when you’re in the wilderness. Pre-registration (and fee) required. For details, click here.
  • The Addams Family Kids (2:00 & 5:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School auditorium, 49 Parkerville Rd: Neary’s annual school play is produced through Recreation’s after school theater program with Skyrise Theater. This year the play is The Addams Family Kids. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Paint a Bunny Picture (3:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Registration is required for this program for 8-12 year olds. Kids will be led throughstep by step instructions. All materials provided. Sponsored by Friends of the Southborough Library.
