Yesterday, the T&G reported that Eathan Renteria — the victim of an April 2024 deadly shooting in Worcester — had graduated from Algonquin Regional High School less than a year prior. (His link to Algonquin doesn’t appear to have been publicly reported at the time.)
The Telegram reports that two men have been indicted for the murder.
At the time of the crime, both suspects were teens. (One is currently 20 years old and the other was 16 at the time of the murder.)
The Telegram cites court documents as including details about how the murder took place, but lacking any information on motive.
The article states that Police allege that the suspects made arrangements through Snapchat to meet Renteria to buy an electronic charger from him. Then surveillance video allegedly captured them approach Renteria’s driver side window when he drove up, followed by one of the suspects drawing a gun and shooting Renteria in the head.
