[Highlights from last week’s competitions and what’s on tap this week in Algonquin Regional High School varsity sports.]
As far as NSBORO students are concerned, today is the last day of summer. And that means Algonquin sports are back.
ARHS’ student athletes have already been at work for a week to prepare for the fall season. (ARHS Athletics welcomed the Teams back over Instagram last Monday — Try Outs Day.)
But, except for one team, the programs are still just in their pre-season prep stage this week.
As always, ARHS Boys Golf will be the first varsity team to enter real competitions for the school year. Golfers will hit the home links after their first day of school tomorrow.
Several other ARHS teams are set to scrimmage with other schools this week as they prepare for their real season to kick off after Labor Day. (Soccer teams even started scrimmaging last Saturday.)

- 3:30 pm – Boys Golf vs. Wachusett Regional High @ Juniper Hill Golf Course (home course)
- 6:00 pm – Boys Football vs. Shepherd Hill Regional High @ Algonquin (Scrimmage)
Wednesday, September 2, 2026
- 3:30 pm – Boys Golf vs. Shrewsbury @ Cyprian Keyes Golf Club
- 4:00 pm – Girls Volleyball vs. Milford High @ Algonquin (Scrimmage)
- 6:00 pm – Girls Soccer vs. Medway High @ Algonquin (Scrimmage)
Saturday, September 5, 2026
- 10:00 am – Boys Football vs. Hudson High @ Algonquin (Scrimmage)
