The Southborough Firefighters Association asked me to share news about their fundraiser for an organization that supports breast cancer patients “right here in Massachusetts”. (They’re encouraging early orders to get them before October, then wear them during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.)
Last year, the SFA sold t-shirts and hoodies that incorporated the SFD logo and the famous pink ribbon. This year, they’re selling just the Tees with a new, tie-dyed design.
All proceeds from the sales will be donated to the Ellie Fund. That non-profit’s website promotes “Supporting Patients. Providing Hope”:

To provide essential support services for breast cancer patients to ease the stresses of everyday life, allowing the focus to be on family, recovery and healing.
By providing support services such as transportation assistance, grocery gift cards, meal delivery, childcare reimbursement, housekeeping, and integrative therapies, Ellie Fund helps address the financial and emotional impacts of breast cancer. Our impact extends beyond direct services through our patient advocacy, outreach, support groups, and education efforts.
Our unique model promotes treatment access and improves the likelihood of positive outcomes, while advancing health equity for marginalized patients – an essential foundation for their success and empowerment.
SFA’s T-shirts cost $35 and come in sizes adult S–XXL.
Orders must be placed through email and payments made via Venmo to @SouthboroughFFA. Email SouthboroughFFA@gmail.com with your name, item type (shirt or hoodie), size, and quantity.
Purchasers will be notified by email when the orders are ready for pickup from the Public Safety Complex (32 Cordaville Rd).
The SFA also hopes that the public will help raise awareness about their awareness fundraiser by liking and sharing their Facebook post.
