- Live Music with Dave Parker (8:00 – 11:00pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: The acoustic singer/musician will entertain with a mix of classic hits and crowd favorites. For details, click here.

- Southborough Library open (10:00 am – 5:00 pm): After a summer hiatus, regular Saturday hours resume (September through June).
- Sit & Knit (2:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Semi-monthly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.

- Town Closures: The public schools, Town Offices, the Southborough Library and Senior Center are closed for the federal holiday.

- Senior Center Program Registration (10:00 am) @ Senior Center or 508-229-4453: The window will open to register for the Senior Center’s September and October programs. Registration can take place in person at the center or speaking with someone over the phone (not by leaving a message). For details, see dedicated post.
- Bridge (12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group, welcoming new participants. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
- ARHS Musical Auditions (2:45 – 4:45pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School: Algonquin’s fall musical in November will be Disney’s “Newsies”. The school has scheduled this time for students to audition. For details, click here.
- Poetry Workshop (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Bring in five copies of original poetry to share. The group will provide supportive feedback. If you don’t have a poem, come anyway and share your insights. (Meets twice monthly.)
- Neary’s Instrument Info Night (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ virtual: Info night for parents of Neary students who plan to/are considering studying an instrument through Neary’s band program. (Look for details from the school.)
- Virtual Author Talk (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ online: Registration is required to take part in the free live talk with Q&A, “Writing the Nightmare: A Ship Called Sickness and One Unforgettable Space Crew with Daniel Kraus”. This is part of the Southborough Library’s virtual series featuring bestselling, award-winning, and highly acclaimed authors from around the world. For details, see related post.
- Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night (8:00 – 10:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Weekly Trivia game night with prizes. For details, see dedicated post.

- Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Southborough cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. (Dependent on weather conditions.) Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
- American Mah Jongg Meetup (1:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Main Floor Stacks: Weekly opportunity to play. Drop ins are welcome, but groups of 4 are generally necessary. For details, click here.
- Live Blues Jam n’ Open Mic (8:00 – 11:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Come play or sing with the house band and fellow musical talent, or just enjoy the show. For details, see related post.

- Woodward SOS Welcome Back Picnic (5:00 – 7:00 pm) @ Woodward School lawn: Families of Woodward students are invited to this social kickoff for the start of the year that will also raise funds for Woodward’s SOS (Southborough Organization for Schools).
