Above: An update on who is and isn’t running for Town offices. (image of logo from the old Town website)
There’s nothing significant to report since I last covered the upcoming annual Town election. This is just a quick reminder that the deadline to file papers is two weeks from today.
If you’re considering running to serve in our government’s executive branch, you’ll need to pull papers from the Town Clerk’s office by March 20th, a week from Friday. (You can find the full election paperwork schedule here.)
Since I last posted about the election, several candidates have filed their signed papers. No new candidates have pulled papers to run.
At this point, there are still only two potential races on the ballot. Three candidates have filed papers for two seats on the Select Board. And two have pulled for one seat on the Housing Authority.
You can find the latest list of who has pulled/filed papers here.
If you have questions about the responsibilities for each board, you can find information here. For many of the boards/committees, you can also view/stream their recent meetings. (For details on viewing options, see my notes at the bottom of my regular Week in Government posts.)
