Mildred P. (McDonald) Lemire, 81, of Southborough, died Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at UMass Memorial Center – Marlborough Campus.
She was the daughter of the late Frederick A. and Mildred (Powers) McDonald and wife of Arthur E. Lemire to whom she was married for 61 years.
A devoted wife, mother and Nana, Mildred poured her heart into her family. Her grandchildren were her world, and everything she did was with them in mind. She showed her love not just in words, but through her time, her creativity, and the traditions she built that will live on for generations.
Mildred had a gift for making every moment feel special. Whether it was a holiday celebration, a family gathering, or even an ordinary afternoon, she brought warmth, care, and thoughtful detail to everything she touched. She loved crafting, baking, and decorating, always creating something meaningful for the people she loved.
Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her family, especially during time together in New Hampshire on Lake Winnipesaukee, where she found peace, joy, and connection.
Mildred lived an active and vibrant life. She was never one to sit still—always moving, always doing, always giving. She was the kind of mother and Nana who didn’t just say “I love you,” but showed it in countless ways every single day.
Besides her husband, Mildred is survived by her children, James A. Lemire of Hudson, Keith A. Lemire of Ashland, Pamela Lefebvre and her husband Eric of Northborough; her grandchildren, Colin Lemire, Peyton Quartaroni, Ryan Lefebvre, Matthew Lefebvre, Ava Lefebvre and Michael Lefebvre; and her brother, Frederick McDonald of Leominster
