[An update on the Algonquin varsity teams competing in post-season playoffs and championship tournaments.]
After 2 years of being shut out, ARHS Softball made it into the MIAA Division 1 state playoffs. The 35th seed team is traveled to play #30 Weymouth this evening. That’s set for 5:00 pm tonight (Thursday, May 28th.)
Yesterday, 21st seed Girls Tennis challenged 12th seed Westborough in the D1 Round of 32. Despite Westborough having the home court advantage, the Titans triumphed 3-2.
On Tuesday, they’ll travel to Lexington High to challenge the 5th seed team. It’s the first time since the MIAA reconfigured the tourneys to eliminate regionals years ago, that a Gonk Tennis team will advance to the Round of 16.
